FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS _______________________________________________________                Congratulations to Carrie Wang and Jason Wang for being the recent Students of the Week! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! A1 LEVEL CLASS In class today, students took the 3rd Unit Exam based on the Story, "What Jo Did". Hopefully, every student will do well. The results will come in on Monday. After the Exam, we began studying the new Story, "Coyote School News".                                        See you Monday!                                                                           Mr. French

                                               MR. FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS ___________________________________________________________________________________ HAPPY HALLOWEEN! A1 LEVEL CLASS In class today, we finished studying the Story, "What Jo Did". Only about half the class liked this story. Next on our list is "Coyote School News". Hopefully, more students will find this story more interesting! There is a Unit Exam tomorrow, so students should be busily studying this evening.                                               MR. FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS ___________________________________________________________________________________ HAPPY HALLOWEEN! A1 LEVEL CLASS In class today, we continued studying the Story, "What Jo Did".   We also studied more about the Reading Street Common Core topic, Background Knowledge. Additionally, we practiced some short answer writing.                                          HOMEROOM In Homeroom today, we practiced more public speaking. The topic of today's class was Halloween.                            SCIENCE AND EXPERIENCE CLASS In the afternoon, we celebrated Halloween by discussing this autumn festival. Candies, crafts, music, and videos were also part of today's fun. See you tomorrow!

Also, the Week 9 Vocabulary was introduced.  In addition, last Friday's Unit Exams were graded and returned to the students. These should receive a parent's signature and come back to Mr. French.                                           MR. FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS ___________________________________________________________________________________ NO HOMEWORK TODAY! Today we had an outing to Heping Island Park. It was windy and rainy, but a nice chance to enjoy a beautiful environment in Taiwan!                           For tomorrow's Quiz, students should be familiar with pages 111 and 113  in the Reader's & Writer's Notebook, as well as the Week 8 Vocabulary. FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS ________________________________________________________________________________                                   EXPERIENCE CLASS * Today we made basketball games: launchers, backboards and hoops! Great fun was had by all as students showed their great creativity.                                        HOMEROOM * Public Speaking continues to be our topic, and today we studied, "Know Your Audience". We talked about different groups which make up audiences; women, men, kids, young people, and seniors.                             A1 LEVEL CLASS TOD AY * Since the Quiz is on Friday, we discussed and reviewed the Spelling, Phonics and Vocabulary for the current Reading Street Story, "What Jo Did".                                          See you tomorrow! - Mr. French

FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS ________________________________________________________________________________                                   A1 LEVEL CLASS TOD AY * Today we studied some Grammar that may appear on the next Exam (October 29) - Common Nouns. Students should review this material and be familiar with the concepts. Students are encouraged to take notes every day during class so that they can review and prepare for Quizzes and Exams. * We also studied the beginning of the Story, "What Jo Did". This topic will be examined next week, so students should be reading and studying it. Read it three or four times!                                          See you tomorrow! - Mr. French
