FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS _______________________________________________________ A1 CLASS * Today, students began studying the new Story, "The Man Who Named the Clouds". * We also studied Compound Sentences because they will always be important on the Exams. HOMEROOM * Today, we discussed Public Speaking, as usual. "Know Your Audience" is an important part of giving public speeches, and we talked about how all stories are written with a particular audience in mind. SCIENCE * Today, students studied more about Life Cycles of plants. They took down their seeds from the windows and observed how they are growing. EXPERIENCE CLASS * Today, students learned about Thanksgiving Day! This important holiday is actually tomorrow. For crafts, we all made origami turkeys! See you tomorrow! Mr. French

MR. FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS _______________________________________________________ A1 CLASS * Today, students were busy taking exams! Tomorrow, class will resume as normal. We will be studying a new Story and learning new Vocabulary. In addition, there will be new Grammar to learn. This may be a good time to note that the Reader's Theater competition will be on December 9th at 12:15 PM in the Library. Our class has a great team, "The Fabulous Five"; Henry, Jason, Carrie, Claire, and Mimi! The story they will be performing is one I wrote especially for this occasion, "The Crazy Night Before Christmas". See you tomorrow! Mr. French

They were able to do a simple experiment: putting seeds in bags with a little water. With help from the sun, the seeds will soon sprout, forming a new plant! EXPERIENCE CLASS * Today in Experience Class, students did more preparation for the Christmas season. Their drawing and artwork will soon appear on the school lobby glass bulletin board! A1 CLASS * Today, students did more preparation for the upcoming Oral Exam. They should be taking notes and be able to speak for around two minutes.
