TODAY'S HAPPENINGS

A1 LEVEL CLASS

* We reviewed the Homework up to this point from the "Reader's & Writer's Notebook" relating to the current story, "Because of Winn-Dixie".

*We also reviewed the current Story Vocabulary for, "Because of Winn-Dixie".

This Story will be a part of the upcoming Exam.


*Congratulations to Jason Wang for winning the Story Vocabulary Jeopardy challenge!



HOMEROOM

* Today we began discussing Public Speaking; why and when it may be important. We also discussed some famous speakers in history. In the future, students will be giving their own speeches!


EXPERIENCE CLASS

* Today we traveled to Olden-days America, and explored some history from the 1800's. We talked about Lewis & Clarke, Sacagawea, Native Americans, and famous American leaders. All this relates to the next Reading Street Story, "Lewis and Clarke and Me".
