NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK!


                                 A1 LEVEL CLASS TODAY

* In class today, we finished discussing the recent Reading Street Story, "The Horned Toad Prince". In so doing, students expressed their thoughts about the fable and its characters and plot. Interestingly, only about 30% of the class liked the story compared to 90% who liked "Lewis and Clark and Me" (my personal favorite!

* Congratulations to Lala who did a nice job speaking for two minutes about the American Southwest. She did this with no advance preparation and on the spur of the moment. Well done!

As a class this year, we are focusing on improving our public speaking skills.
