MR. FRENCH'S GRADE 4 (A1) ENGLISH CLASS
HOMEROOM TODAY
* In Homeroom, we took the Listening Exam today. Many students did well, scoring 100! The rest of the students did well, with everyone scoring above 70%. Well done!
A1 LEVEL CLASS TODAY
* Today we worked on a little Grammar (synonyms and antonyms) which were featured on page 79 of the Reader's & Writer's Notebook. The students did well as we discussed the importance of building Vocabulary using these important words.
* We also practice more public speaking since students will have their Oral Exam this Friday! Practice makes perfect! I anticipate this Exam to be challenging as many students need to develop more confidence and experience using their verbal skills. This is my goal: to help students become better speakers!
SCIENCE CLASS TODAY
* Today we studied Gravity and Forces. These are important topics in Physics, and the Evan-Moor textbook does a good job presenting them in simple basic English.
EXPERIENCE CLASS TODAY
* Today we had great fun putting Gravity and Forces to the test. Students performed an experiment using string, balloons, and a straw. Great fun was had by all!
See you tomorrow!
- Mr. French
